We are in a war right now, regardless of what you think of this war. each of these fallen soldiers, have a family, each of them went to battle for this war. each came home in a box, not into the arms of their loved ones.
These are someone's husband, wife, fiance, boy/girl friend, son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin and friend.
What are we fighting for?
Many people see the " Oil war" the one the media shows us. They only ever show half the truth. folks there is a LOT more to this war .
This war is about human rights.
before we went in, before 9-11 even...
women were forced to wear burka's a heavy drape and cover their total body including face in a robe that weighed more then a 8 year old child. DAY- in DAY- out. They were NOT allowed medical treatment, they were not allowed to go to school, hold down a job, read a magazine or go to a market without a man.
The people of Afghanistan were not allowed to vote.
they had NO rights.Children were given guns and taught to hate based on a extremist's point of view.
The audacity that occurred in Afghanistan before Canada went in were so horrible that I will compare this to another incident in the 40's
the holocaust.
Last time I looked we are Canadian.
we stand for goodness, we stand for freedom, we stand beside our neighbours and help them out when we can.
Last time I looked I can say what I want when I want too. I am allowed to be educated, my children are not given guns and I can see a doctor. the only thing that weighs 60 lbs that I carry is my 8 year old son and ONLY when I want too. I can go shopping and I can have a job.
I am equal to my husband to my doctor and to the Prime Minister.
If my neighbours needed my help I always try and help. As they do that for me.
I sing my national Anthem with pride and I do love the Toronto Maple Leafs even if they suck!
but most of all I am grateful to all the soldiers in our Armed Forces. I am grateful to the services they do across the globe and I mourn each and every loss.
My grandfather fought in WWII on my Dad's Side (we lost him in 2002)
My Grandfather on my Mom's Side was a Vet from the Korean war. (we lost him in 2007)
every solider that dons this uniform stands up for us, please read the following list and stand up for them.
this list may be updated so here is the actual website.
The Fallen Soldiers of Canadaplease keep your prayers for those men and women in Afghanistan safe not just on November 11th but each and everyday.
God Bless those troops. and remember your opinion is allowed because these brave people and those before have given that to us in Canada, and we have already given the Afghani's their Vote back, their schools are open to children regardless of gender. Women are holding jobs again and getting medical treatment.
our troops HAVE made a difference and they will continue to do so
Fallen Canadians
Here we honour those who have
given their lives serving Canada
and helping the people
of Afghanistan.
